As Social Entertainment celebrates its 15th anniversary, the company marks this milestone with the launch of a bold, international initiative: Braziliana, a cross-cultural celebration connecting South Louisiana and Southeast Brazil through film, music, food, and community storytelling.
In November 2025, the Social Entertainment production team will travel from Acadiana to São Paulo to bring a piece of Louisiana’s vibrant culture abroad. Braziliana highlights the shared rhythm between the two regions, found in their music, cuisine, and joyful sense of community, through an immersive week of film, live performances, and cultural exchange.
A Living, Breathing Celebration of Culture
South Louisiana and Southeast Brazil are separated by miles of ocean, but they pulse with the same heartbeat and shared love for rhythm, flavor and community. Braziliana shares that connection through:
- Film Screenings – Featuring an original docu-series exploring the intertwined stories of both regions.
- Churrasco Parties – Celebrating with food, drinks, and good vibes.
- Live Concerts – Merging zydeco and Cajun with samba and forró in electrifying performances.
- Talks & Storytelling – Bringing together chefs, musicians, and cultural icons from both communities.
- Cultural Exchanges – Encouraging collaboration and travel between Acadiana and Southeast Brazil.
“Braziliana is more than an event, it’s a movement,” said Johanna Divine, Managing Director, The Current & Braziliana co-founder. “We’re celebrating a cultural bridge that has existed for generations, one built on rhythm, food and togetherness, and giving it new life on the world stage.”
