The Children’s Museum of Acadiana (CMA) will bring science, technology, engineering, art and math together with Halloween fun during Spooktacular S.T.E.A.M. Fest, returning Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Presented by Lafayette Pediatric Dentistry, the family event will transform the museum into a hands-on Halloween experience featuring more than 25 S.T.E.A.M. stations and exhibits, with candy and treats along the way.
Families can come in costume and explore mad science experiments, creepy crawly encounters with Schoolhouse Safari, Giant Brain Spin Art with Brain Art Alliance, a 64-foot S.T.E.A.M. obstacle course, performances, outdoor activities and more.
“Spooktacular has become one of those events families look forward to because it takes something kids already love and turns it into an opportunity to learn, experiment and discover,” said Lore Linton, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum of Acadiana. “Children are learning without even realizing it, and that’s what Learning by Doing is all about.”
Linton added that community partnerships make experiences of this scale possible.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Lafayette Pediatric Dentistry for continuing to invest in the CMA and helping us create experiences that make learning exciting and accessible for Acadiana’s families. We’re also thankful for the support of Guidry & Horaist Orthodontics and Walmart Abbeville in helping us bring this year’s event to life.”
